April and May 2001 News Articles

Several important items (recommended reading) are included in the January through March 2001 News Articles page.  To view those, click here.  Current news articles can be seen below.

May 20, 2001  Previous contributor to this site Walter York (no relation) has proposed an experimental new method of looking at the codes called PinPoint.  He describes it in an article at http://ad2004.com/Biblecodes/Hebrewmatrix/pinpoint.html.  Though I do have some problems with some aspects of the method, other aspects are intriguing, and I believe the method is worth further examination.

May 7, 2001  Periodic contributor to this site Moshe Aharon Shak (ABOUT THE AUTHOR) has written a very detailed article THE RAV SHMUEL SCHICK CLUSTER concerning the Bible code cluster he has found about his ancestor the Rabbi Shmuel Shcick and his descendants.  He shows that these generations are heavily encoded in the book of Exodus.  (This article is copyrighted © 2001 by Moshe Aharon Shak and is posted on this site with his permission.)

May 7, 2001  Bible codes proponent Ed Sherman (editor of Bible Code Digest) and codes skeptic Randall Ingermanson have announced the details of a joint experiment they will carry out concerning the presence of very long ELS's in the Bible.  The details can be read at http://www.rsingermanson.com/html/long_elss.html.

April 24, 2001  In a new article "New Evidence Overturns Skeptics' Case" at www.biblecodedigest.com/hanukah, the staff of the Bible Code Digest confront the claim by Barry Simon and Brendan McKay that codes can be found in any book.

April 4, 2001  Codes researcher Bryan Huie has discovered some additional terms to the matrix I originally presented in Yeshua (Jesus), Who Arose From Death.  The additional terms can be seen in this new paper,  Yeshua (Jesus), Who Arose From Death: Some Additional Findings .

April 4, 2001  I have modified my Minimum Threshold Of Plausibility calculation as described in this paper, Introducing A New Factor W .
