The Book:  Do you believe it or not?

For those of you who believe that Jesus is the Son of God, do you believe that the Word of God is truth? Do you believe that it is absolute moral and physical truth? If you're not sure, why do you waver? Many will say that yes, I believe that most of the bible is true, but that you can’t take everything as fact. Well, the question is which parts do you believe and which parts do feel in some ways are fiction? I mean how much sense does that make, and what makes you so sure about some of the parts of the bible and so wavering about others? What makes you so sure that the part about Jesus dying on the cross was accurate and that well in Genesis maybe God didn’t create the earth in Seven days like it says. Or maybe in the book of revelation God won’t in the future pour out seven bowls of wrath upon the earth. What makes you so sure that the last supper took place and that Jesus’ words were written down with precision, while so many don’t even believe in Hell and demons, even though Jesus talked about it many times. The thing is there is no reason for you to believe one thing and not the other, but those things which are a stretch for you to believe, things you feel no educated or rational person could believe, you simply toss aside. In doing this you form your own religion with your own set of beliefs, because for some strange reason you think you know better than the profits and other early church writers, who were called by God himself to write down the dictated truth, through the person, who is the Holy Spirit.

Just imagine though if it is true. Think if every word is true, and every verse is a direct covenant agreement from the very lips of God. You see, it can only be one way or the other, you can only believe it all or none of it, for to believe some of it, well which some of it do you believe and why? Do you believe some of it, because some other person just like you feels that such things are impossible and therefore untrue? Are you listening to one of the hundred or so denominational headquarters, each with its own conclusion? That’s not truth by any means. But again just imagine if its true….

If its true than we have been given the power to become sons of the living God, and that every promise made from the time of Adam until now is truth and is our inheritance. Jesus said himself, all things may pass away, but my word shall never pass away. Do you believe this verse, than you believe the inspired word of God, recorded in the bible is truth and what an amazing world we live in with this truth. For if its true "No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises up against you in judgment you shall condemn." And if its true, then "whatever we ask in the Name of Jesus shall be done," and "when ever two or three gather in His Name there He shall be also, the Son of the living God." Do you see how it is to your advantage that the word is true, for if its true, "There is a five fold anointed ministry and there are nine gifts of the spirit given unto men, for the purpose of serving God." If its true, then Jesus is returning and soon, to come and receive His church or His people and the world shall be judged, and those who deny Him shall suffer and die." If you believe these things how wonderful would your life be, for if its true, "You should never shed a tear for the death of a loved one, for if you know that they knew the Lord, they are in a place that you only wish you could be." For even Paul wished to be in heaven, and the only reason he knew to stay was that he could help out this lost and dying world, and help the new believers with their faith. There are so many more promises that are even more amazing, but I’ll leave it up to you to read them. If you know its truth, you will read this book everyday and at every free moment, for when was it you knew a book that had in it nothing but truth, and especially truth that could shape and change your life, truth and promises unspeakable. If you had such a book would you not read it always, would you not learn its pages. The sad thing is just about everyone owns this book, but for most people it hasn’t even been opened in 20 years. Now is the time however to read and believe, and ask God for the ability to stand on His Word, and just watch Him prove that it is truth to you. Amen!
