Do you know what you have? Do you know who you are? One of the single greatest revelations you can get, as a faith filled believer, is the answer to these two questions. I also know that these answers are only powerful and important if they are revealed to you as truth by the Holy Spirit. Many of you may actually know these truths, but they are not a part of your life because they haven’t yet been placed in your heart. You know them to be true in your mind, but deep down you don’t really believe them to be true. So right now I pray that these things are made to be truth in your heart, and that God gives you the faith, maybe not now, but through trusting in Him, the faith to truly know and live by these two truths.
The first question, may sound a little ridiculous, but it is something that many people don’t really know or understand. Who are you? When you received Christ as your savior, who did you become, for the Word of God says we became a new creature. Who are we then, us who believe? Jesus said, "You must be born again to enter into the Kingdom." What does this mean. He also says that we must be born of heaven and that this new birth is a spiritual birth. You see, when we receive Jesus, we are given the power to become sons and daughters of God. We are born into his Holy family, and are his kids. This is why He is referred to so many times in the bible as Father. He truly is our Father, and as such we obey and live under His guidance.
What does it now mean to be a son of God? Jesus talks about this subject of having a heavenly Father a lot, but for just now, think about what that means to you……..
How amazing is it that we are children of the living God, we are actually born as sons of the Creator of all things. So many have not yet understood what this means, and what an honor this is. This one truth will completely alter the way you perceive yourself and all your situations, if only it is made truth in your heart. Just think about what the role of a Father is supposed to be in our lives. He is the one who provides for all his children’s needs, he loves them unconditionally, he is there for encouragement, he teaches them, and most of all he protects and looks after them with unmatched care. Now to the Father who can do all, and is love himself, how great of a Daddy do we have. He can provide for you like none other. How many Fathers want their kids to have the best because they love them? Does this trait leave with our heavenly Father? Of course not, he will not only provide for you, but give you the very best, but only as long as you are willing to share with others who are less fortunate. He will love you no matter what, for he is love and nothing else can he do but love you. He will also protect you, for how many Fathers watch over their kids always to make sure that they are safe? How much more will the Dad with perfect love watch over his children. He will teach, for if he loves you so much and knows all truths, he is your perfect teacher and guide.
Let the Holy spirit shed this light on your heart that you may know and understand, the only thing that matters. Your place in God and Christ.
Now the question is, what is it that is on the inside of you? When you received the Holy Spirit, what was it that you got? Was it not this same Holy Spirit that descended upon Jesus, and gave him the strength and guidance to carry out the Father’s will. Where did Jesus’ power and authority come from, from God, who’s Holy Spirit was inside of Him. Through this spirit the Bible says we can receive gifts like discernment, healing, words of knowledge, great faith (or supernatural faith, faith that is given when you don’t yet trust God enough), and the list continues. The whole point is, we have a part of the Trinity living inside of us. And because the trinity, of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, is made one, we have in essence the entire Godhead living on the inside of us. Now why should we ever doubt and ever worry, if we have the power and strength, and even God himself inside of us? We shouldn’t, but for many of us this truth has not yet been made real in our hearts.
The question you should now ask yourself is, do I really believe in my heart, that these two revelations are truth. The key is to be honest with yourself, and know that it is all right to say no. In fact it is better to say no, because you can the ask for God’s help in making this truth true to you. I personally have not yet fully grasped even all of this revelation, but I know that I haven’t and for that reason God is helping me believe it more everyday. You really need to get a hold of these truths, because if you know who you are, neither Satan nor anyone else can come against you, and through him and who you are in him you have become more than a conqueror. So just pray and meditate on these truths and the power that is already working in you ( the Holy Spirit ) shall allow all things to be possible. God Bless you, and remember that God loves and Jesus is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.
