To Follow Him

If we are to follow him, we must not be so afraid of what the world thinks, only what God thinks. We have been freed from sin, but we still shall be judged by God himself on our actions and thoughts. We will still be judged by what we have done for him, and judged based on what he has called us to do. Just because you tasted freedom from the death of sin, don’t feel as if you are walking with a free ride. Why, if we are the people and children of God, are we still here on earth and not with our Father who is in heaven? Why do we remain? We remain because there is work for us to do, much more needs to be done. You cannot therefore sit and just watch from the sidelines, if you truly obey God and want to be his, you must act like his. In order to act like his you must embrace his vision, you must embrace the quest of salvation for all men.

Do not take this lightly, those who do not embrace his vision, embrace their own, and are not of God, for they serve themselves. These shall not receive the reward of eternal life. Don’t think we are here on a spiritual vacation, there will be an eternity left for us to rest in his love and glory, but first you must work, and labor in love for God. Don’t worry about any suffering or hardship you face, for the glory and reward of God is immense in heaven, and you shall not be disappointed. Keep your eyes focused then on heaven and the Father.

Realize now that all men are sinners, and all have fallen short of the Glory of God, and that all are lost in sin without him. All whom are lost in sin shall surely perish, they shall surely die and burn in hell forever. It is this problem that we have been sent to solve, and this alone. It is our place as children of God to tell the people about what is theirs, what their inheritance is. Realize that you yourself will spend eternity in the bowels of hell, if you don’t embrace the will of God, which is that all should be saved through the knowledge of his son Jesus Christ. Picture it this way, every person whom God leads you to share Jesus with, and you don’t, their blood is on your hands. Their eternal damnation rests on your head, whether they would have accepted the Lord or not doesn’t matter, as long as you told them, you left them with the truth. You are therefore no longer responsible for that life.

Know also that if you have not been in this will of God that you must repent and quickly change your ways, ask God to birth in you a desire to win the lost, and start telling people about Jesus. They must know the truth, if truly you believe in the gospel, then you know what you must do, you must plant truth in their hearts and let the Spirit convict them. You yourself cannot change their hearts, but the Holy Spirit can use your words to convict their hearts and bring them to their knees before the throne of God. Realize that you too may not have yet received Jesus, for you must confess where you are in him, firstly with your heart and then with your mouth. You must speak it from a conviction of the heart and then, once you have called on him, then you have been forgiven of your sins.

Jesus talks about those who believed that they followed God, and did many works in his name, but they did not embrace his vision of the lost, they did not share Jesus the savior with others, and these shall perish, for Jesus will say to them, "Depart from Me, for I know you not, those who ignore the will of my Father and stay in iniquity." How horrible would that be, but it truly is a narrow path, and many will stray off it, let his words convict you of this, start sharing the life, that is Jesus, on the inside of you. Do not wait, for today is the day of salvation, do not let your hands be covered with the blood of others. But, if you embrace this call to the lost, truly salvation is the greatest miracle, something greater than all the miracles Jesus did here on earth. Jesus cannot testify of himself, he can’t testify of a savior--he is the savior, for truly if you embrace the vision of salvation, he shall not withhold anything from you. You shall be blessed and you shall increase, you shall be a son of righteousness and receive the blessings of heaven. Shout out, Praise God! Turn your eyes off your own problems, and unto the fields of humanity for they are white unto harvest. We are the reapers, now let us go forth and win the lost for Jesus.
