Here is a challenging idea to everyone and
anyone, a question that requires some thought and has unyielding importance. Why
is it that you believe, what you believe?
This
may sound at first like a strange question, but it really is the most important
one you can ask. Whatever religion you have chosen, whatever God you have
decided to follow, or maybe you decided to rely on the world’s knowledge,
whatever it is you believe, WHY? Do you believe it because you know that it is
the truth, and if you know it to be true, HOW?
Many people will tell you that faith
is just believing, even though you’ve never known it, felt it, sensed it, or
experienced it in any way. Well, if you think about that, then faith is a very
ridiculous concept. For instance, when you were a kid, you had faith in the
Easter Bunny and Santa, even though you never truly saw them. You believed
because you trusted someone’s word on it.
I’m here to say that faith without
anything for certain backing it up, is strictly blind faith, which is nothing
more than ignorance. You may say you believe in God, but the question is, where
did you get that conviction. Was it from knowing him, and trusting him, or was
it simply just a decision of blind faith. Were your convictions developed by
friends and family? I’m here to tell the religious and the non-religious
alike, to stop with the blind faith, it is faulty, and truly not faith at all.
You honestly can’t trust someone
you don’t know. Just like I know about a lot of famous people, like JFK and
Michael Jordan, I wouldn’t trust them with anything, just based on the fact
that I’ve read some stuff about them. I especially couldn’t trust them with
my life, unless I knew and met the person, and even then it would take time to
build my trust and faith in them, until I could say I entrust you with my life.
A lot of religious people are the same way, they say they know Jesus, but what
they really mean is they know about him, they’ve read about him, but truly
they don’t know him. Let me just say that if you are searching for the truth
you will find it in only one place, a personal relationship with Jesus, the son
of God.
Now you may ask, well how do I meet
him, and some may feel like he’ll never want to meet me. I’m here to tell
you, as someone who used to denounce Christ, that even then he loved me, and he
truly wants to be with you, everyone of you, more than you’ll ever know, more
than you want to be with him right now. He died for you, not you who are perfect
but for you who have been stuck in bondage and have been lost and without God.
If you
want to meet him, just seek his face right now, sincerely ask him to reveal
himself to you. If you don’t trust or have the faith for that, just admit to
him you don’t and he will supply it, you just need to confess it to him. Jesus
loves you so very much, and I hope and pray that right now you let him tell you
himself how he feels about you. This is the answer and the truth, this is not
religion, its relationship, its what your heart has been longing for. Again he
loves you and I love you, do it now, what have you got to lose, for if it's
real, then you just received the greatest gift one can receive, and if not, then
you spent five minutes looking for the truth and coming up short again. But I
know that if you're sincere about it, he will be there to place his arms around
you and fill you with his love, and that you will be overflowing with tears of
love and joy.
